Our Story
Inspiration that walks with you.
Hokhmah Heart is a place we care for together. Our local team, guests and visiting facilitators each contribute to its story, guided by service, connection and respect for life.
Come to rest in the jungle, explore wellness, join a retreat or share your own gifts. Nature, ancestral wisdom and open curiosity meet here—and every belief is welcome.
What "Hokhmah" Means
For us, Hokhmah is an invitation to listen to wisdom: within ourselves, in nature and in the people around us.
The name reminds us to serve with humility and to keep learning. Whether you speak of God, the universe or the interconnectedness of life, you are welcome here.
Through everyday care and shared experience, we create a place for connection, balance and respect for the life we share.
Our people & community
Meet the people who care for this place and share their gifts: hospitality, local knowledge, mentoring, ancestral practices and professional support. Together, we help guests feel welcome, respected and cared for.

Aurelio
Care of Natural Spaces & Community Connection
Guided by intuition and a deep connection to the earth and his family’s roots, Aurelio works alongside the team to care for Hokhmah’s natural spaces. With warmth and local knowledge, he helps guests and collaborators connect with the Mexican community. His contribution is part of the shared care that keeps this place alive.

Michael Cassidy Mboma
Missoko Bwiti traditional Iboga practitioner
My training was hands-on and extensive, spanning several years of deep immersion in the Bwiti tradition in Gabon. I interned directly with Moughenda Mikala, working side by side in ceremony, detox, and deep spiritual healing. I found the most complete path— working with those navigating complex grief, loss, and trauma.

Heidi
Ancestral Mayan Massage Practitioner
Passed down through five generations, I bring the wisdom of ancestral Mayan massage. Through attentive touch and a deep connection to my roots, I offer guests a space to relax and reconnect with their bodies in nature.

Alex
Maintenance of Natural Spaces
From the pool and gardens to our shared areas, I work to maintain the beauty of the hotel so our guests can feel at home.

Malonie Carre
Life mentor and guide · ALIVE
My own journey of intuition, growth, and healing shapes how I support others. Through ALIVE, I offer a space to reconnect with yourself, listen to your inner wisdom, and explore a life that feels meaningful. At Hokhmah Heart, I work alongside our team, guests, and nature, learning and creating together.

Tania
Psychologist in addiction and behavioral health
With close to a decade at the National Institute of Psychiatry in Mexico, I hold the psychological arc of the Iboga retreats, from screening and preparation to integration, and greeting people quietly, without pressure. I screen for what Iboga cannot hold, and prepare guests for what it can. My frame is clinical; my manner is not.

Estela
Community Management
Customer experiences
I share the heart of Hokhmah through our online community and everyday guest interactions. From creating content to helping guests feel at home, I connect people with the hotel, and the natural surroundings.

Doggita
A tranquil, calm and gentle soul who brings peace to anyone who interacts with her. Her home has always been here at Hokhmah and she is an invaluable member of our beloved family.

María Linderman
Coordinator of Expressive Arts, Sales and Marketing
I believe that creativity is a fundamental part of self regulation and connection, something that we often lose. My artistic retreats have the core goal that each participant can learn to "See yourself, feel yourself, express yourself". Join me in a journey to return to creativity and to return to your true self.

Josu Zen
Facilitator of holistic ceremonies and rituals
With over 15 years of practice, I offer experiences designed to reconnect, harmonize, and elevate the energy of both the space and the participants. In addition to retreats, I facilitate special events—such as conscious birthdays, bachelorette´s and couples’ rituals—all tailored to the occasion with intention and sensitivity.

Johana
Hospitality & Guest Comfort Coordinator
I help make Hokhmah feel like a place where guests can settle in and feel cared for. From preparing meals to tending the rooms and shared spaces, I work to bring warmth and attention to the everyday details that make a stay feel welcoming.

Yuna & Yaris
The newest additions to our Hokhmah family, who have an abundance of energy and remind everyone of the joys of youthful living. They will greet you with kisses and infinite positivity.
